The Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) facilitated stakeholder participation in the Kenya–Italy Business Forum held in Rome, Italy, during the official visit by H.E. the President of the Republic of Kenya.
The Authority was represented by Chairman Hon. Cornelly Serem, Director of Horticulture Ms. Christine Chesaro, and Mr. Muinde Ivongo, alongside key stakeholders from the horticulture, coffee, and nuts & oil crops sectors.
The forum provided a strategic platform to deepen bilateral economic cooperation between Kenya and Italy, while strengthening private sector linkages. Discussions focused on promoting trade and investment opportunities, facilitating industrial partnerships, and fostering joint ventures aimed at enhancing value addition and expanding market access for Kenyan agricultural products.
AFA’s participation underscores its commitment to positioning Kenya’s agricultural value chains competitively in the global market, while supporting initiatives that drive sustainable growth, investment, and international collaboration.
