The Agriculture and Food Authority, led by Director General Dr. Bruno Linyiru, OGW, convened consultative forum with Miraa exporters, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS), and Nairobi City County at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The forum aimed at reviewing miraa handling processes to ensure regulatory compliance, identifying improvements through discussions and a cargo terminal visit.
The Authority is committed to promoting structured, safe, and efficient export processes for Miraa and Other Industrial Crops. KAA was represented by Mr. Jacob Bwana, Commercial Head – Cargo, while KEPHIS and Nairobi City County were represented by Dr Mary Mware and Ms. Jane Wangui, respectively.
