Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA), led by Chairman Hon. Cornelly Serem and Director Felix Mutwiri, representing Director General Dr. Bruno Linyiru, OGW, graced the launch of Mama na Kahawa Phase 2 in Nandi County. During the event, AFA showcased sustainable coffee farming techniques and facilitated interactive training sessions for farmers.
Hosted by Nandi County Women Representative Hon. Cynthia Muge and H.E. Hon. Stephen Sang, EGH, the event aimed to empower women in agriculture through the distribution of 500,000 coffee seedlings to farmers.
The event was attended by Dr. Paul Kipronoh Rono (PS, State Department for Agriculture); Abubakar Hassan (PS, State Department for Investments); Dr. Juma Mukhwana (PS, State Department for Industrialization); Hon. Brighton Yegon (MP, Konoin & Vice Chair, National Assembly Committee on Agriculture); and Nancy C. Cheruiyot, FCCA (CEO & Managing Trustee, Commodities Fund), among other leaders.
The initiative highlights a shared commitment to revitalizing the coffee sector and promoting inclusive, sustainable agricultural growth.
