The Mombasa International Show 2025 was officially opened today by His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, alongside Mombasa County Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir and other senior government officials. The event brought together stakeholders from across the agricultural, industrial, and commercial sectors to showcase innovations and opportunities driving Kenya’s development agenda.
During the opening ceremony, the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) was honored with a trophy for Best Agro-Processing Stand. This recognition underscores the Authority’s commitment to innovation, value addition, and sustainable growth in the agricultural sector. AFA’s stand highlighted its initiatives across various crop directorates, demonstrating how the Authority is supporting farmers, strengthening value chains, and contributing to Kenya’s food and nutrition security.

The award reflects AFA’s role as a key player in transforming agriculture into a vibrant and competitive industry. By showcasing agro-processing technologies, value chain interventions, and sustainable farming practices, the Authority continues to inspire confidence among stakeholders and promote investment in Kenya’s agriculture.
The Mombasa International Show remains one of the country’s premier platforms for agricultural exhibitions, offering opportunities for knowledge exchange, market linkages, and policy engagement. AFA’s participation not only strengthens its visibility but also reinforces its mandate of developing, regulating, and promoting scheduled crops for national growth and prosperity.
As the exhibition continues, AFA looks forward to engaging with farmers, processors, industry players, and the public at its stand, sharing insights on how agricultural transformation can drive Kenya’s economic and social development.
