Miraa Pyrethrum Fibre & Other Industrial Crops Directorate

Miraa Pyrethrum Fibre and Other Industrial Crops Directorate (MPFICD) is one of the Directorates created under the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA), whose mandate is to develop, regulate and promote miraa, pyrethrum, fibre and other industrial crops as provided for in the AFA Act No. 13 of 2013 and the Crops Act No. 16 of 2013. The functions of the Directorate are also aligned to the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Vision 2030.

The Directorate collaborates with stakeholders to ensure sustainable development, effective regulation, and the promotion of respective value chains for economic growth.
