The Agriculture and Food Authority took part in the launch of the rehabilitation of the Bulla Cadey Irrigation Scheme in Garissa Town Constituency, alongside an Agricultural Exhibition that brought together farmers, stakeholders, and sector partners.
The rehabilitation project marks a major milestone in strengthening #FoodSecurity by restoring irrigation infrastructure to ensure farmers have reliable access to water for crop production.

At the exhibition, farmers interacted with service providers, learned about new technologies, and explored opportunities for value addition, showcasing the potential of #SustainableAgriculture to transform livelihoods in the region.
These activities also align with Kenya’s climate resilience agenda, empowering communities in Garissa to adapt to changing weather patterns and reinforcing AFA’s commitment to building robust agricultural value chains.
By combining practical interventions with stakeholder engagement, the event underscored the shared goal of driving #AgriculturalTransformation and revitalising agriculture in Garissa for a brighter, more secure future.
